Robyn Seamer D.O., M.Sc. (Ost.)

AHPRA Non Practising Osteopath
Retired from clinical practice.

International Postgraduate Lecturer in Osteopathy

Born in Melbourne, Australia in 1953, Robyn travelled to London, England at 18 years old, where she completed her undergraduate osteopathic training at the British School of Osteopathy in 1975. Over a career spanning more than 50 years, she established a vibrant professional practice and raised two daughters in the UK before returning to Australia in 2004.

Robyn maintained a busy private practice in Oxted, UK, for 29 years, while simultaneously dedicating herself to clinical education. Between 1995 and 1999, she supervised as a senior osteopath at the Osteopathic Centre for Children in London, and lectured throughout the UK as a faculty member of the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy (SCCO). She furthered her own academic credentials by obtaining a Master of Science in Osteopathy from the European School of Osteopathy and the University of Greenwich in 2003.

Deeply committed to the traditional roots of the profession, Robyn was fortunate to study in the mid-1970s with pioneer osteopaths Dr. Harold Magoun Sr., Drs. Rollin and Alan Becker, and Dr. Anne Wales.

In 1995, she began a long-term study with Dr. James Jealous, becoming a faculty member of his Biodynamics Program in 2002.

In 2004, Robyn returned home to Australia, settling in Queensland.

From 2004 to 2025, she shared her time between her family osteopathic practice in Sunshine Beach Osteopaths and lecturing in Australia and overseas through Osteopathic Studies.

Teaching at a postgraduate level, her extensive lecturing, teaching, and tutoring in Osteopathy and Paediatric Osteopathy has taken her across the globe, including Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, the UK, Sri Lanka, Australia, New Zealand, and various associated charity children's clinics.

Robyn has held numerous speaking positions on osteopathic and paediatric topics.
She also contributed "Chapter 16.8 – Neuropaediatrics: Epilepsy" to the Textbook of Pediatric Osteopathy (edited by E. Möckel and N. Mitha, Churchill Livingstone, Elsevier, 2005).

Today, Robyn resides in Noosa, Queensland, Australia, sharing her time between her family and consulting in postgraduate education.
