Biobasics History and principles:

Dr James Jealous had the vision that each Biobasic course was overseen by a member of the Biodynamics faculty, to ensure that the lineage of the original vision continues.

The Tide/Wisdom guides the group/community of osteopaths who have attended all the phases of A biodynamic View of Osteopathy. This group of osteopaths listen to other osteopaths dream and help them in the way they wish to be helped, dwelling on the ease, and encouraging their strength.

Jim used to say: ‘ Ask yourself, what is your motive?'
If it Service to the community, this is an invitation to start with a study group, see how you work together, responding to the Tide as a community, learning to express yourself, bypassing conceptual knowledge and responding to the guidance of the Wisdom of the Tide.

In Australia since 2022, a group of osteopaths, who have attended all the Biodynamics phase
with ourselves and /or with Dr Jealous
gathered twice a year to share their insights.
It has been a delight to witness, as faculty members, the blossoming and dedication of these osteopaths
sharing with the osteopathic community their knowledge and insights.

Jim’s mission statement is a beautiful invitation to explore:

‘A Biobasic group functions as a community, invested in teaching all levels of Osteopathy in an informal setting…undergraduate and graduate.

The course provides a unique opportunity for mentoring and an expected table trainer to participant ratio of 1:2.

All of the teachers at this course are oriented to the general practice of Osteopathy and are fully trained in a Biodynamic View of Osteopathy’.
