Course overview:
This course is about the treatment of children and their relationship to Health, treating a child as a Whole, whilst applying osteopathic principles of treatment and differential diagnosis.
The embryological forces which formed the embryo become the forces of growth and development in a child with a reference to Health and Wholeness.

By the end of the course, the osteopath will:

  • Acquire an understanding of how to communicate with a Child.
  • Explore the indirect approach to osteopathic treatment of children
  • Clinically assess and treat the pre and post-natal maternal pelvis.
  • Develop the skill to evaluate and treat the newborn.
  •  Diagnose the quality of Fluid Drive and its capacity for unfolding, thus assessing the prognosis for future growth and development.
  • Explore osteopathic treatment of developmental hip conditions such as Slipped Capitis Femoral epiphysis
  • Develop a Relationship with the Child/ Health/ Embryo 
CPD:
 
Providing 20 hours of Continuing Professional Development (20 hours CPD)

A certificate of 20 hours CPD will be provided at the end of the course.
This can then be presented, as part of your personal CPD portfolio, towards the OBA requirements of 25 annual hours of self directed CPD.

Deposit: AU$290 (inc. GST) will reserve a place on the course.
When the course is full, it will be clearly stated on this web page and an opportunity to join the waiting list will be offered. 

Refund policy: Cancellations received 28 days before the start of the course will receive a full refund.

The deposit will be retained and the balance returned if a cancellation is made less than 28 days before a course.

Brisbane airport offers a greater choice of flight and times and is 2.5hours drive away.
