COME Center for Osteopathic Medicine Collaboration Collaboration is an interdisciplinary foundation for osteopathy excellence.
Bringing together clinicians and scientists who study the effect and effectiveness of osteopathic medicine.
The goal is to understand how osteopathy works, to produce compelling evidence to optimize health care services and enhance quality of education. The research groups study all aspects of application of osteopathic medicine including lab-based and clinical-based research as well as translational research.

This website is initiated and hosted by the "Vienna School of Osteopathy" -
Based in Vienna/Austria in cooperation with osteopaths and schools in various European countries and the USA.

The database is also endorsed by the "World Osteopathic Health Organisation (WHO)" and the "Osteopathic European Academic Network (OSEAN)"

Lymphatic Pump Treatment Mobilizes Leukocytes from the Gut Associated Lymphoid Tissue into Lymph

Dr Lisa Hodge PhD investigates, through research, the effect of osteopathic manipulative treatments (OMT) on the host response to infection, inflammatory diseases and cancer.
Through understanding the mechanisms by which osteopathy enhances the lymphatic and immune systems and alters disease progression, Dr Hodge provides scientific support for the clinical application of osteopathy.
