Phase VII will cover

 

  • Management of pain in chronic and terminally ill patients, in conjunction with ongoing medical treatment
  • Elevated allostatic load from chronic stress
  • Neutral of the Health
  • ‘Pregnancy brain’ in pregnant or post partum patients and age related cognitive decline (ARCD) in geriatric patients
  • Past history of head trauma and memory of matrix of the Health.

    Eligibility:

    Osteopaths, M.D.s, Dentists with prior training in Biodynamics Phase I-VI

    Course Fee: AU$1250 (inc. GST)
    Deposit: AU$300 (inc. GST)

    CPD:
    Providing 20 hours of Continuing Professional Development (20 hours CPD) 
    20 hours postgraduate education (Category 1) approved with the Osteopathic Council of New Zealand.

    Phase VII was previously endorsed by the AOA, from 2004-2011, when CPD was required for AOA membership. 
    Since November 2011, the Osteopathic Board of Australia (OBA) requires CPD for annual registration for osteopaths in Australia.
    A certificate of 20 hours CPD will be provided at the end of the course. This can then be presented, as part of your personal CPD portfolio, towards the OBA requirements of 25 annual hours of self directed CPD.
    The OBA annual 25 CPD hour requirement also includes 4 hours of mandatory topics approved by the Board.

    Transport:

    The closest airport to Fraser Island is Hervey Bay, also called Fraser Coast.
    Transfers can be booked from the airport to the ferry at Riverhead, with the Kingfisher Bay Resort.


    There is a bus from the airport that will take you to Riverhead to the vehicle and passenger ferry.
    It takes 15mins. There are a few shops in Riverheads, a small supermarket for some food shopping and a bottle shop. This is a 5 minute walk from the ferry.

     

    Please check the ferry time on the Kingfisher Bay website, as the timetable can change.
